In the flrst game Whitby beat Peterborough (Remax) 4-2. Scoring for Whitby was ike Astalos with two, Gary Kitainura and Ryan Mea2ney. Although Waterloo at ons time tied the gaine, Whitby added two ta win 4-2. The next day featured hometawn Gloucester, and with this gaine brought on another tight gaine that ended in yet another tie. Whitby lost 4-3 in the first overtime. Next up was Sudbury who, havn not won a gamne, was thougt tabe easy prey for the Whithy teain. Whitby jumped out ta an early lead but then were sonewalled by the Sudbury goaltender. The resuit was a comeback by Sudbury and another overtime. Whitby had tournarnent wins at the A level at Markham and Scarborough and won the CORL league titis in the petite intermediats division. At ths AA level, Whitby had third-place finishes in the London and Whitby taurnaments and! a gold at the Cambridge tournanient ta go with their provincial silver medal. The tearn was coached by Ros BrownridgB, with assstant coach Doug rema and manager Làeza Carâwell. Ruttan, Mike- Kobrynovich and Meaney was hot as Ruttan scored twice and Kobriynovich and Meaney each had one. itamura and Mike Liske scored the other goals for Witby.
