Excellent goltending by Shari Brykse kept the gaine close. Whitby won their second game against West Michigan 6-0. Mike Hemil1ton had two goals and two assists, Glen Mayer two goals and an assist, Nick Owen and Casey Dupont each with a goal. Goltender David Chant got the shutout. The third game against Windsor saw Whitby go ahead quckly and keep the lead throughout for a 4-2 win. Matt Jardin, Dupont, Haynes and Hamilton scored. The chanipionship game was a rematch egainat Sault Ste. Marie. Sauit Ste. Marie scored firet but Whitby soon followed with gocals from Hamnilton and Jared Brown. Sault Ste Marie came back with three goals to put out the Whitby flamne. With only seconds remaining in the game, Owen scored from Cruch te make the final 4-3. There was outstending goaltending by Chant and goo defensive play by Mike Heffering.
