The committee, chaired by the O Postin keeps taxpayers inomdon how ýthe governuient spends its $162-hillion budget. "MPs are on this committee te represent the taxpayer and not their political parties," said Shepherd, who was first elected te the Commons last October. Prior te this, Shepherd was a member of the Finance Commiàttee and associate of the Industr-y Committee. He will now be an associate member of both committees.
