She was born on Jan. 26, 1908 in Craik, Sask., daughter of Wal- ter and Mary Ann (MacKenzie) Ross. She married Hugh M. Baker on March 24, 1945 in Toronto. The Regional1 Municipality of Durham Winter Sludge Management Class Environmental Assessment Public Notification In Ji.îne 1992, the Regional Municipality of Durham initiated a Ciass Environmcntai Asscssment (EA) for winter sludge management. This Class EA is being conducted pursuant to the requirernents of the Class Environmental Assessment for Municipal Sewage and Water Schedule C Pro jects. Jn October 1993, the Region gavc public notice that the prefcred alternative l'r the winter sludgc management was the storage of digested sludge using cnclosed storage tanks iocatcd on or adjacent te one or more of the existing water pollution control plant (WPCP) sites. This alternative was selected through a public consultation process. In March 1994, the Region gave public notice that the candidate WPCP sites on the short list were the Corbett Creek WPCP in Whitby, Harmony Creck WPCP in Oshîawa and Port Darlington WPCP in Bowmanville. The proposed siudge storage facility may be iocated on or adjacent to these candidate sites. The Region, in consultation with a Public Consultation Working Commiittee lias.just completed the selection of the preferred site for the proposed sludge storage facilit.y.
