Ontario Hydro has applied for renewal of the operating licences for the facilities near Pickering, Ont., which expire on December 31, 1994. At its meeting on November 10. the Board gave initial consideration to the application, accepting the AECB staff recommendation on reiicensing the facilities for two years, to December 31. 1996. The Board will make the final decision with respect to licence.renewal at its meeting on December 14, taking into account any public concerns that have been expressed.
