A Children's Christmas Tree, trimmed with colourful -tags, provides local needy children with a new gift for the holiday. Salon again holds drive. Once again Valentino's- Hair Salon wilI hold the Sick Kids'food and toy drive for Christmas. Ail donations can' be placed in the decorated box at the entranoe, and will be delivered te Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto for Christmas. To add some incentive, a brightly lit Candy Cane Christmnas Tree is located in the reception area. Any person donating will have the opportunity to pluck a lucky cane' for gifis. One out of every 10 will receive a sinall gift. For anyone not able to help with food or a toy, a $1 (or more) donation te the hospital will provide the same chance frors the over 200 canes decorating the tree. Prizes will be presented on the spot for the winners. Each tag will give information on a child, such as first naine, age, sex and clothing size. People interested in niaking a child's Christmas brighter select a tag from the tree and purchase a gift for the child. The child's name must be registered at the Whitby Krnart store, but gifts can be purchased at any location. Gifts for the children should be returned unwrapped te, the Whitby store with the tag by Dec. 17. Each child's gift will' be wrapped and ready to, open Christmas morning.
