The only thing people seem W liUke about it is that it is now wheelchair-accessible. I guess well ail have Wo be a litle frieudiier Wo make Up for the rather sterile and unfriendly decor. But at least we stii have our owun post office. Someone conunented that ail the money Canada Post has invested i the renovation means the office is here Wo stay. It had been rumoured a year ago that it might b. closed down, like so many other email rural ones. Even in these days of fiscal fruigality, I doubt that blowing a few thousand dollars on this makeover would keep it off the hit list. The "superbox" nightmare may still be Brooklin's future. It wiil b. interesting Wo see how the new subdivision's mail will be handled. HIEBER DOWN TO CHARGE ENTRANCE FEE Starting May 1. Heber Down Conservation Area wiil set up a booth at the outrance to coilect outrance fees of $2 per car or 50 cents a person for those walkcing in. The outrance fee will be charged throughout the surmmer but not in winter -- at least not this year. Heber Down was one of the few 'Wfee conservation areas left. Others such as the Metro Torýonto sud Area Conservation Authority (MIRCA) have had fees for their areas for many years. A season pass is available for $40 sud while that may seem pricey, the pass wiil get you into any of the Central Lake Ontario Conservation Authority areas. Ca 654843 for more information. EASTER BCG HUNT Easter's still a little way off, but it doesn't hurt Wo make plans early. Heber Down Conservation Area will host its annual Easter Egg clebration for the kids on April 15.
