On May 31, the chamber held its annual awards ceremony recognizing the town's best in business. Power was truly surprised that she won. Duing a short acceptance speech, she was ver5y emotional and said briefly, '"Itsà really a team effort and inm deeplyihon'oured." Power has been in business at Lafontaine for six years. She has been heavily involved in various groupe such as the Downtown Business Improve- ment Association, Local Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee and Wlhitby Courthouse Theatre.
