SidewalIk art contest The third annual sidewallc art competition,, hosted by the Whitby Chaniber of Commerce and the Whitby Courthouse Theatre, is scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 1, in the downtown area. .Pre-registration is free. The judges will decide the winners from four categories -- children under aged seven; eight to 12; 13 to 17; over 18. Prizes are donated by the Whitby Courthouse Theatre, Lafontaine Trading Post and the Whitby Chaznber of Commerce. A paint tray containing paints, water and paper towels wilI be provided to each participant. The Kids Carnival Magic Show wiII be held at the Broo 'kiin (3:30 p.mj), Rossland (2:15 p.m.) and main (1 p.m.) branches of the ibrary on Friday, June 30.
