At the dime, the late and lamented Brooklin Village Voioe, newspaper reported the succeseful famiy-run operation had the poor luck to, be sitting on the site of an old gas station whose underground tanks had neyer been removed, and the soil had become badly contaminated. The ininistry removed tons and tons of soil s0 there was really no option but te, close. Now . Valles Fruit Market returns in a newly constructad location on the west side of Hlighway 1L2, just south of MyrtIe Road. The officiaI opening is Thursday, July 27. And there were many more talented artists from neighbouring areas. CAMPING AT DEBER DOWN A well-kept neighbourhood secret is the small campground at Heber Down. There are 50 sites, each with water and electricity, high above the Lynde Creek valley. There are washrooms, showers, laundry facilities plus firewood and ice for purchase. RVs are welcome. Heber Down bas 633 acres of valley. lands and forests where white tail deer, foxes,. rabbits and ail manner of bird life are common. The occasional trout is pulled out of the Lynde and some evenings are made magical with the howls of coyotes. Plenty of trails, including one that 15 wheelchair accessible, makes gettieg back to nature a pleasure. Camnping season goes right on te October.
