Fireflghters were called to the blaze, which started in the bedroom, at 11:52 p.m., says Whitby deputy fire- chief Bob Marshall. There was no one home at the time - the owner had stepped out shortly before. The department says the lire was likely accidentai and caused by sometbing left on the bod. Marshal says most of the damage was due to smoke and water, "nothing structural at ail."
