A van driven by Richard Carroll, 709 of Scarborough was westbound on Taunton Road when it suddenly veered acrosa the road, down an embankment and crashed into a A van driven by Kathie Phillips, 3,of WJhitby was eastbound on Taunton and left the road, striking a sign post, to avoid colliding head-on with the other van. Yvonne Laing of Saskatoon, a passenger in the westbound van, was taken'to Ajax & Pi-ckering General Hospital and later to Sunnybrook Health Science Centre where she died of lier injuries.
