The combination of Kailey Miller and short stop Susie Crabb picked off three runners going into second. With a 15-minute break Whitby took the field once again against Stouffville. The Whitby bats came alive punching out 15 bits combined with another well pitched gaine by Aley McDonald to mercy Stouffville 19-4 in four innings and win the gold. McWilliams totalled seven bits for the tournament, Crabb six, McDonald and Kerri Dickson five, Kelly Jeifs four, Andrea Mitchell, Kailey Snider and Kailey MUler thre Danielle Morrison, Amanda Otter and Stacey Belben two. Whiitby's succesaful season included league and playoff champs, silver at provincials in Tier I, a gold, silver and bronze in three tournaments. Whitby is coached by Ken McWIliams;, Gary Mller, Doug Campbell and Jane McWilliams. M&M peewees undefeated M&M Meat Shops went undefeated in playoff action to secure miner peewee house league playoff honours. The championship game was played in the blistering heat on Sunday * against the Green Machine, International Mfill Services. M&M's first four batters of the gaine scored, with ne further runs until the fourth inning, when three more crossed the plate. The lead proved insurmountable, though a never-say-die International Mill Services loaded the bases in the fifth and seventh innings. The final tally was 7-3.
