Wbitby, spansared by Hanet Plastics, first dispased of the hast team 4-1 on goals by Cory Hass, Jeremy McElhanney, Steve Matthews and Tom DaSilva. Gae two ended with a ehutaut victoxy for goalie Ryan Unwin in a 6-0 romp over Central Ontario Wolves. Gavin Prout (two), Shane Terry, Steve Death, Melhanney and Matthews bit the mark for Whitby. DaSilva, Rob Dancey, Sean Crandies, Terry and Prout hit the scoreboard in a 5-1 Whitby victory aver Brantford. ln the semi-final game versus cross-town league rivais Oshawa, Wildcats pounced eaily which reutdin a convmncing 6-2 win. Dan Cioffi (two), Justin Collins, .McElhanney (two), and DaSilva potted goals. The final match-up was against Oakville who eliminated Whitby from two tournaments last season. Not wanting a repeat, Wbitby defended their tournament unbeaten record with a 6-3 score on goals by Cioffi, Matthews (three), Terry and Derek Suddons. In regular season eastern AAA league action, Whitby defeated Barrie 4-1, Richmond Hil 6-1, and suffered their flrst lase, 4-2. at the hands of York-Simcoe Express.
