In fact Durham Shoestring Performers' lateet production is a musical - their first major musical - with lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and based on a book by John Weidnian., Spanninig 116 years, from the assassination of Abraham Lincoln in 1865 to John Hlinekley Jr.'s attempt on Ronald Reagan's life in 1981, the play is a black comedy, or as one critic desiêribed it, a "revue-sical," says director TMm Southwell.
