The Whitby Yacht Club plans te 'dress ship,' which means that flags will b. fiying on ail of the boats. There will h a historioel display onthe' main floor of the dlubhouse (wheelchair accesible). This will include displays of the yacht clubs own regatta over the past buil ding in 'Port Whitby 10 arn. to 3 m.on Henftage Day, âaturday, Sept. 29 years, as well as an original map of Windsor Bay, the former name -for Port Whitby, which dates back te the 1800a. The Junmior Sailing Club will have a display at the entrance te the yacht club. The yacht club isjust off the waterfront rail, and there are many picnic tables around the grounids for visiter use. Earl Pascoe's dlock, watch and button collection will be on display during Heritage -Day, Saturday, Sept. 7, 10 a.=., to 4 p.m., at the McGraw . HilI Ryerson building on Water Street ini Port Whitby., Pascoe has been collecting and repairing watches -and dlocks for almost 30 years. Auctions and antique shows have always interested Pascoe, and it was at one. of these shows .where' he purchased bis first two dlocks, for $12 each. The docdks were not working and needed a few repaire,so, 0Pascoe put his talents to the test and in no time the dlocks were as good as new. Thus began a hobby that eventualy. evolved into, a fuil-time career. Pasco.e was born and raised in Whitby, on bis parentd'farm.
