In the first gaine, Whitby tied 3-3 on Matt Walton's goal with less than four minutes to go. Wildcats lost by a goal to North Bay Fzidge, and had te win their next game te advance. Trailing Copper Oiff Redmen 2-1 late in the gaine, Whitby coach Tr-oy May oelled for a check of a stick of a Copper Cliff player and an illegal stick infraction was- called and Whitby had a two- man advantage. .David Dittinar tied the score, May then pulled the goalie to maintain the two- man advance,. and Matt Fortier scored the gaine- winning goal. In the consolation final, Whitby had a 3" victery over Sudbury Sports City Red Wings.
