The kick-off for the one-of- a-kind project in Canada took place Oct. 3 at the ashool when Gary McCullough, environmental and safety director of General Motors of Canada, charged the teams of Grade 9 students with the task of using a small box of components to create, build, test and market a new toy. The project is the brainchild Dec. 17 will be the culmination of their combined efforts. Beginning at 6 p.m., students will display their toys and answer judges' questions about their capabilities. At 7 p.m., students 'will begfin their multi-media presentations, outlining the many stepe they took in the design and creation of their models.
