CARS Sold ina 1935 The home of Roy W. Nichols at Couatice, showing the spaclous garagre and showrooms, together with the large asscrtmnent of used cars which is naturally maintained where so large a turnover is continually in progress. This depot is responsible for the empicyment cf more than twenty people and "bi year has broken ail preceding records for sales. q e - - e Our TO OUR Thanks e - - s CUSTOMERS 71 1 AUTOMOBILES sold in one year is indeed a record for any business, and 1 w'e are delighted, in the closing hours of this year to be in a position to re- port that this organization has actually solci more than that number of automobiles during the year 1935. Needless to say, we appreciate greatly the splendid patronage and confidence w-hich it has been our pleasure to receive during the year. It has been a rare privîlege to have rendered such a satisfactory service to so large a number of peole andi also to know that, to our knowledge at least, ever-yone wvas, and stili is, a satisfied customer. Oui' business has been made possible, we believe, to a large degree, by the fact that our patrons are sure of a square deal, and as a resuit corne back to us year after year, which establishes an enviable reputation for our organization of which we are justly proud. To all of these customers and friends, we extend a hope that our conscientious efforts will ever continue to menit the trust, confidence and patronage, such as has been exemplified during the past twelve months. We have made arrangements whereby we will be in a position to render even a more efficient service during the coming year, and thus help to maintain the friend- liness and good-will for which we are so grateful. Ten years ago our organization was indeed a small one, in fact it was in its infancy, comp.rising a staff of perhaps three persons. To-day, how- ever. we are providing direct employment for more than twenty people. The large turnover of our business is of a two-fold importance, namiely: A l)ayroll which causes money to circulate directly to those who are in need of employment; and secondly, our large sale of automobiles is felt to be no small factor in the automobile factories and their allied industries in Oshawa, where thousands of wage-earners find employment, including a number from Bowmanville - thus we have the satisfaction of knowing that we are contributing in a marked degree to the improvement of conditions s0 far as the wage-earner is concerned, and indirectly, in a small way, per- haps, we are responsiblr for the sustenance of many homes in Bowman- ville and district. <IESALD 813MtJU. ROY W. NICHOLS Proprietor and dealer for the complete Une cf Gener- al Motors producta, includ- lng Chevrolet, Pontiac, Olds- mobile, Buick, LaSalle, Ca- dillac, and G. NI. C. and Chevrolet Trucks. TO Our Employees: Truly yeoman service has been rendered during tFis ind past years, and I want to take this opportunity of spying "thanks." I arn proud of the fact that an automobile sales record has been made for us in 1935, and that in doing so no practices have been used which could be considered "unbecorning" to the reputation of our organization, that no "smart tactics" were used to create sales, but rather we have established a record in business, based on "good bargains" for ail parties concerned. which guarantees satisfaction and is a sound foundation on which to build a business. Hence publicily, through the columns of The BowTnanville Statesman, I give my thanks and appreciation to all members of the organization, and extend best wishes for a Bright, Happy and Prosperous New Year.
