We were very pleased to have Mis. M. J. Hutchinson speak to us. Then each group retired to have a separate business meeting. The Live Wires had a supper meeting, and at 7 p.m. the mcm- bers attended thc open meeting and had a short business meeting before leaving for home. The Semper Fidelis had a short business period and discussed topics o! interest to the various members, as likcwisc did the Onwego group. The Upstreamcrs had a business period and then Miss Spargo led in an impromptu devotional ser- vice. Obituary Malcolm Douglas Law People in this district were shocked to hear o! the passîng o! Malcolm Douglas Law, 29 years oid, who had been very popular when he lived at Mapie Grove. He was son o! Ivan M. Law and thc late Ethel M. Law, formerly o! Solina. He died March 8th in Oshawa Generai Hospital after being sick about six months. He had been activeiy connected with church work, first at Maple Grove United Church and for the past two years at Cherrywood where he was vice-president o! the Young Peopie's Union, sang in the choir, and taught a Sunday Schooi class. He is sunvived- by his father, two brothers, Gordon and Ross, - and one sisten, Ina, ail at home. The funeral took place from the family residence, Lot 23, Con. 2, Whitby, on March llth. Rev. W. C.
