Scout SaUvage Drive Nets Total $184.80 Once again the salvage drive for waste paper and rags under- taken by the Bowmanville Boy Scouts and Cubs bas proved an outstanding success. Organized into teams under Scoutmaster Denis Pickard, the young lads made the collection Wednesday evening, May 21, with the gener- ous co-operation of businessmen who lent their trucks for the oc- casion. Reporting to the press, Treasur- er Sidney Venton, Chief of Police, Bowmanville, stated that after collections were bundled and sold the total proceeds were $18480 which will be used to promote Scout work. Mr. Venton in behaît of the Scouts and their officers, wishes to ihank the public for generous co-operation and as well those who donated vehicles and helped gather the salvaga from door to door.
