Charles Catto deliver- ed bis second sermon in his series on Christian Missions. This week's tapic was "Mis- alan ta the Community". To illustrate bis subject he drew on bis experiences last sum- ner with "Operation Beaver". On Sunday, May l6th, Rev. Charles Catto continued hîs series of sermons with "Mis- sion in the Warld". He dealt with. the three opponents ta Christianity, Communism, Re- suxgent Religions and Ma- terialism. Hie showed us that Communism is united whereas Christianity is divided by de- nominationialism and urged us ta ca-operate with aur Christ- ian brothers. We were told that for every Christian con- vert in Africa, six were con- verted ta Islam. Rev. Catto brought himself back ta North Amerîca for bis last point and startled us with the announce- ment that the average family listens ta one houx- of cam- mercials every day. On Saturday, May Sth, 43 Brownies and mathers went ta Toronto. They left bS' bus at 9 a'clock and travelled ta Riv- erdale Zoo. The monkey bouse was thie big attraction for the girls, many of whom saw a mather monkey rockîng a baby in ber arms. The group Went on ta the Ontario Muse- am nd inspected the dinosaurs 1nd ather displays. They had lch on the bus and returned at 5 'clock. About hall a dozen people showed up for the wox-k bee et Hamptan Park on Tuesday, the llth. There was flot as inuch WOrk ta do this year as wve had fewer ice stox-ms this U past winter and sa there were Mot as many branches broken. The 3rd annual Hi-C bazaar was held in the Christlan Edu- cation Wing af Hampton Unit- ed Church on Satux-day, May i5th. The room was decox-at- ed in spring colours af pink and white. One corner af the hall was set with small tables for tbe tea room whene the weary shopper could rest ber leet and enjoy a chat with Poor Weather Hampers Birds Durîng Opener The I,;n.....m- ti - n Pigeon Club started another easOn with a race froni Parry Sound on May 8, 1965.
