There passed to rest after two weeks' illness from heart trouble Mrs. Susan Annie Deacon, widow of the late Digory Fice. After the death of ber husband about tbree years ago, sbe went to Ileo witli ber daughter, Mrs. Chas. Edgerton, Toronto, but a year ago wlien ber caugter returned to town -sbe went as companion and belper to Miss Henry on Wellington-st., and was w'b er when sbe was taken iii and passed away. The l'uneral on Friday afternoon took place from tbe residence of ber daugbter on Queen-st., Rev. S. C. Moore, ber pastor, conduc ing the service. The pall-bear- ers' were: Messrs. J. T. 1ooper, A. Gild- ors, Artbur Hughes and Wm. Burns. Sbe beaves to mourn the loss of a goofi mother, one son Mr. Fred Fice, Osbawa, and one daugbter (Lily) Mrs. Chas. Ed- gerton, of this towýn, and one s'stor, Mrs. Jos. Colwill, Robsart, Sask. The floral off erings included many tokens of sympatby from the friends and neigh.- bors. Among tbe relatives attending were: Mr. and Mrs. Fred Fice, Oshawa; CHRISTMAS WEDDING Ellis--Gould A very pleasing event took place Saturday, December 24th., at -theJ home of Mr. and Mrs. N. E. Gould, King-st., when their daughter, Neil, was united in marriage with Mr. Frederick J. Ellis, B. Sc., of Iroquois Falls, Ont. The ceremony was per- f ormod by Rev, S. C. Moore, B. A., B. D. 'm. the bride entered the drawing room accompanied by her father to the strains of the wedding march softly played in trio by her cousins. the Misses Deyman, and look- cd very winsome in a blue velvet gown, trinmod with silver and girdie wearing a silver hat and corsage bouquet of sweetheart boses.
