On road 57 a 15-foot span bridge 35,feet long was built, cost $1,473.73; and on rond 3 a con- crete bridge, 45-foot span, cost $2,- 636.07. On other ronds $3,657.07 was spent putting on 745 yards gra- vel, 4 new culverts, two steel cul- verts, and cutting down two hilîs. Darlington township: $1 0,842,39 was spent, including a 45-foot span bridge on road 1, cost $4,277.85. There were two bridges, but one was doue away with, and the two streamsi brought together. Land was boughtý and two dams built to turn the streams together. Total cost $7,- 227.88. On other roads they -put 1,722 yards grave', graded 500 ruds, put in four new culverts, repaired two bridges and 28 culverts. Clarke township: spent $12,188.22.
