THOMAS WRIIGHT A life member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Royal Can- adian Legion, Branch 178, Annie Humphrey Wright, aged 85, passed away Sunday, October 14, 1973, in Oshawa General Hospital. Born in Maryport, Cumbêr- land, England, the daughter of William and Rachel (Duggan) Humphrey, she was educated at Maryport and on July 17, 1913, was united in marriage to the late Thomas Robertsona Wright. A member of St. John's Anglican Church, the Rebekab Lodge, Past Noble Grand Club 59, and the Martha Group, St. John's Cbiurch, Mrs. Wright was a valued member of ail organizations and always will- ing and eager to help. A devoted mother, she leaves to mourn ber passing, seven chilsren, Williai, Doris (Mrs. w. A. Davis of Ottawa, Rae (Mrs E. Sbackelton) Ross, Don, Joan (Mrs. Bert Engley) Bow- manville, Doreen (Mrs. Bruce Lidster) Oshawa, 28 grand- children. and four great grandchildren. The funeral service was conducted by, Reverend T. Gracie, on Wednesday, Oct- ober 17, from the Morris Funeral Chapel witb Mrs. Albert Cole at the organ. Palîbearers were grandsons William Davis Jr., Gerry, Tom and Scott Wright, Rick Shackelton and Brian Engley. Beautiful floral tributes were received from the Can- adian Legion Branch 178, Beehive Rebekab Lodge, K40 Club, Past Noble Grand Club 59, and the Canadian Legionw Ladies Auxiliary. Interment was in Bowmanville Cemetery., EDNA SHAW ALLIN Edna Shaw Allin was born in Agincourt, Ont. in 1907, third daugbter of the late George and Sarah Carr. She received her education in Hampton and Baker's School on the 7tb Concession of Darlington., In 1928 she married Charles Shaw and was blessed wîth three sons, George, Jim and Ralpb. Tbey lived in Hamp- ton, Orono, Bowmanville and Oshawa. Her husband Charles predeceased ber in 1951 and she worked in Oshawa Gen- eral Hospital for 14 years. In 1969 she married Norman Allin and became a resident of Bowmanville again and was a member of Bowmanville Trin- ity Cburch. She took great interest in the Eastern Star Cbapter and was Worthy Matron in 1958. In failing bealth for five montbs in Bowmanville Mem- orial Hospital,, she' passed away Oct. 13. SÉe is survived by ber husband Norman, three sons, eigbt grandchildren, and one great-grandson, three sisters Vera Carr, Mabel (Mrs. H. Wonnacott), Ina (Mrs.. A. Virtue).
