Hampton Gardens Mînor Pee Wees Wîn One, Lose One Hampton Gardens Pee Wee Minors lost one and tied one in Lakeshore hockey on the weekend. On Friday night we went to Ajay, and got beaten 12-3. Ajax was full measure for their win as they dominated the game completely from start to finish. One bright spot for our team was Terry De Luca who scored two goals, the first from Terry Riggers and Rob DeBoo and the second from DeBoo and Kevin Noble. Chuck Welsh scored the other assisted hy Brent Clemens and Dale Broome. On Saturday, the Gardens crew tied Port Hope 3-3. Port Hope came out flying and scored two goals in the early part of the game before Welsh E scored from Brent Clemensc and Dale Broome. In the second period, Greenham scored from Clemens to tie the ' game and it remaîned thatc way until 13:50 of the finalv period when Port Hope took 1 the lead again. Both teams own 2-4 records, but came up with super efforts to upend the .eague's one-two clubs. Brooks dealt Spencer's Real Estate their first loss-of the campaign, a 3-1, openîng game thriller. Walter Frank, win1ess in their past four outings, finished strong, in beating Mutton's Sheli, 5-3 in the 10: 15 contest. Only fîve mninor penalties were necess- ary in the two well played encounters. This Sunday, Walter Franks and Brooks meet in the )pener, with Spencers and Vluttons dueling for first place residency in the late match. In last weeks 9-:00 a.m. contest, Brooks produced their finest game of the season n posting the 3-1 decision., The y scored single goals in all three periods, while Spencer's DQug Crough broke Ken Veitch's shutout magie at 1:42 of the final frame. Frank Pee Wees Tie Bay Ridges On Saturday Nov. l7th., W. Frank's Major Pee Wees tied Bay Ridges in a hard fought game. Bay Ridges drew first blood early in the game. Bowmanville then came back on a goal by Steven Frank assisted by John Stewart. Bay Ridges then scored while Bowmanville was shorthand- ed. Steven Frank then came back to score his second goal of the night unassisted. Bowmanville put on a good try in the last minutes of the game but just could not buy a goal. The game was a goal- tenders duel, with#Ed Sallows and Kevin Gibson turning out an outstanding performance. As in 1973, the fees are $23 for a, four-cylinder vehicle; $32 for six-cylinders; $40 for an eigbt-cylinder car and $5 for trailers. This year marks the first time that Ontario will be issuing a licence plate sticker instead of new plates to signify that the vehicle owner bas paid bis annual registration fee. No new permit will be issued for renewal - the present permit wilI be used for five years.
