The even- ing opened with the singing of O'Canada. Audrey Goyne then proposed a toast the the Mothers, Mrs. Marilyn Bow- man responded on behalf of the Mothers. Deputy District Commissioner Mrs. Evelyn. Bishop proposed a toast to the girls on behalf of all the Guiders. The pot luck dinner was served by the Guides and Mothers of the Hampton Guides and Brownies. Gilchrist welcomed over 60 members from the many churches in the Presbyterial. The Presbyterian Church in Canada celebrates its' Centen- nial, beginning this year and continuing through 1975. The first celebrations in this area will be held at Glen Mhor dune 23. A report of Toronto-King- ston Synodical held recently ir North Bay was given by delegates: Miss M. E. Greer, St. Paul's Peterborough; Mrs. A. W. Allan, Havelock; Mrs. H. Morgan, Norwood and Mrs. J. S. Gilchrist, Bowmanville. During luncheon Rev. J. S. Gilchrist extended greetings to the gathering.
