12 The Canadian Statesmnan, Bowmanville, October 2, 1974 Section Two OBITUARIES MISS MARJORIE OKE The death of Miss Marjorie Oie, aged 71 years, occurred at Memorial Hospital, Bow- manville, on Saturday, Sept. 14, 1974, after iii health over many years, the final illness being of five weeks duration. Born at Enniskillen, she was the daughter of the late James and Bertha (Branton) Oke, and attended school in Tyrone. The deceased lived the whole of her lifetime in Ontario, and she was a member of Trinity United Church. SMiss Oke's home and gard- en were her especial pride, giving ber much happiness. Beautiful flowers from ber garden were shared wîth others, brightening many sickrooms and giving pleasure to numerous friends. A sîster, Miss Greta Oke, remains to mourn her passing. As well as ber parents, she was predeceased by an infant brother, Dalton James Oke. The funeral service was held on Tuesday, Sept. 17, in the chapel of Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, Bowmanville, and was conducted by Rev. W. Oake, and Rev. A. Amacher. Interment was in Bethesda Cemetery. ReG INALD F. HEARL A 1fetime resident of Bow- manville, Reginald Frank Hearl, aged 64, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 27, 1974 at Memoria1 Hospital, Bowmanville. Born and educated in Bow- manville, he was the son of the late Alfred John and Elizabeth Annie (Beer) Heari. On Au- g ust 1, 1942, he married the former Eileen R. Ruiter, who predeceased him. H1e resided' at 90 Ontario Street for about 25 years. The deceased was an émployee of Bowmanville Foundry, and was a member of St. John's Anglican Church. Mr. Heari is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Douglas Bryan (Bevýerley),,a son Larry, at home, grandsons George and Bruce, and granddaughter Jinnifer. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Ralph Cook (Dora) and Mrs. Jack Mutton (Mollie) . Rev. T. Gracie conducted the funeral service held in the Morris Funeral Chapel on Friday, August 30th. Inter- ment was in Bowmanville Cemetery. Palîbearers were Messrs. Hugh Rogers, Joe Bate, Norm Bothwell, Fordie Jackman, Beverly Henderson andJim Hayman. JANE HELENA .RITCHIE Jane Helena Ritchie, 84, died Sept. 6, 1974 at Dauphin. She was a longtime resident of Mountview and Dauphin dis- tricts. The funeral service was held Sept. 9 from, Dauphin First United Church with Rev. George Mi lardofficiatin g Intermnent was in Riverside cemnetery.,, Palîbearers were George Angus, Gordon Durston, W117 liami Cardiff, Elmer Durston, William Lock and Robert Forbes. Honorary palîbearers were John Seale, William Davies, Milton Barr, Reginald Tarrant, Williamn Durston, Rod Dewar, Walter Durston,, Wilfred Cardiff, Lee Neill, William Morley and Bruce Shiels. Jane Helena Din-niwell was born and educated at Wiarton, Ont. Following completion of ber secondary schooling she attended normal school atý Stratford, Ont. and taught in several rural schools in the Bruce Peninsula prior to her Chesley, Ont.; four grand- children, Raymond and Cathy at Dauphin- Brette at Win- nipeg; ani (Lillian) Mrs. Walter Peirson at Baden, Germany, Mrs. Ritchie was ýrI !ecýeased by four brothers, Dr.Oliiver Dinniwell in 1953; and Dr. Alfred Dnniwell, Dr. Raymond Dinniwell, and Dr. Richard Dinniwell in 1973.
