Both the Junior and Senior teams have 'in- creýsed their wins from last ye-sseason. On Tuesday, tfie-Seniors won their match against Eastdale and lost the third game of their second match to Clarke, by aclose score. Then on Thursday night, in exhibition action, thley Split two matches with Bowmanville. The Juniors swept both matches from Eastdale and Clarke even though Captain Marilyn Tink 'Vas put out of action early in the game. In Cobourg last Wednesday, they beat'the opposition 43-31. Then on Thursday, they out- played and out-scored Picker- ing by a 76-51 score. Ferguson continued to top the offense by notching 16 points in the Cobourg game and a fantastic 44 points against the Pickering, squd.Th e Bantams also p .ydin Cobourg win ning by a mere three baskets. How- ever, Pickering outscored the-i 39-30. In Junior action. our Cougars played a tieht game against the Pickering Trojans., By controlling the play in the last five minutes, they outscored their oppon- ents 45-41. Paul Sobil and Frank Lyczba led the scoring with 14 points apiece. In hockey, our team journ- ejied to Milbrook. Unfortunat- i t seems our'guys needed some fan support for the Milbrook -squad beat them 10-3. On Thursday, our wrestling team competed in a four-team tournament' against O'Neil, Anderson and Dunharton. J. Vooys, D. Cornal, T. Buchan- an, B. MacLean, S. Cornai, G. Simon and J. Smithson ail won their respective matches. The Red Cross Blood Donor Clinic was held at the Lion's Centre this week. Sixty-eight students from C.S.S. donated their blood. Hopefully, these volunteers plus others at later clinics will help us keep our trophy for the most student donors from any area high school. LONG SAULT Mr. and Mrs. Paul Vander- brink, Whitby, were Sunday afternoon callers of Mr. and Mrs. W. Vaneyk. Mr. and Mrs. Stan Goble, Tyrone, were, Sunday after- noon callers of Mr. and Mrs. Rye Gibson. Glad to report Mrs. Gibson is slowly improv-- ing at home. Sorry to report Mrs. Bert Johnson has been a patient in Port Perry Hospital f or over a week. Mr. and Mrs. G. Kovacs and girls were Friday eveninig guests of 'Mr. and Mrs. Joe lteven , don. She is survived by five ilaughters, Mrs. Leo Kozak XLena) of Bowmanville; Mrs. A. Flontek (Connie); Mrs. R. Perpete (Margaret), hoth of Oshawa; Mrs. M. Stadnyk (Stella), Mrs. J. Nagrihiank (Evelyn). both of Toronto; three sons, Michael of Missis- Suga; Bill, of Oakville; Nick '-Oshawa; and one brother, S-teve Stasiuk, in the Ukraine. Mrs, Holodryzuk rested at the Armstrong Funeral Home. Mass was celebrated in St. George's Ukrainian Catholic Church Friday with tempor- ary entombment in Oshawa Union Cemetery Mausoleum.
