Other activities concerned reports of missing persons lost and found properties and numerous driving complaints. During the above mentioned period twenty-two motor vehicle collisions were investi- gated in which eight persons were injured and one person was killed. As a result of these collisions, six persons have been charged with offences under the Highway Traffic Act and one person has been charged with a driving offence under the Criminal Code. Othp fpfinrraQ Ontario Provincial Police 125 Lakeshore Blvd. East Toronto 2, Ontario During the period August 11th, 1975 to August 17th, 1975, the Ontario Provincial Police at Newcastle investigated one hundred and twenty-eight oc- currences of a general nature. Some of these occurrences were as follows: There were nine investigations into Break and Enter offences, five investigations into 'Theft' of- fences, and two investigations Winners of the Dance Contest were Paula Terry front, and Angela Bosma, Alice Mulder, Elsebeth H the back row. Threé-legged races provided some thrills and spills for many Greaser Day participants. The front runners in this race are about to take a dive, and there were several others in each of the heats that followed suit. Trudy Mulder and Rosanne Vandergaast were the ultimate victors. Mark Francis and Lisa Wambolt paired up for the third heat of the three-legged race, and although progress was a bit slow at times, they provided excellent entertainment for the specta- tors. On Monday of last week Mr. and Mrs. Grant Thompson attended the funeral of his cousin, Mrs. G.B. Johnston at Cannington. Mr. Everett Clarke of Oak- ville spent several days last week with his cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Clarke Williams. On Friday afternoon Mrs. Lawrence Cooledge left Nestleton, by bus, to spend the night at the Red Carpet Inn in Lindsay. Early aturday morning she and her sister Mrs. Florence Thompson, To- ronto were joining a group for a bus trip to the East Coast. This also includes a ferry cruise to St. John's, New- foundland. On Sunday the Legion of Port Perry had their third picnic at the park. Tickets for races etc. were given to the children. The adults had a tug-of-war across the pond (taking a dip added to the merriment). The horse- shoe tournament was also staged. Lawrence Cooledge, one of Cartwright's representatives to the World Jamborçe reports that they left Copenhagen Airport on a 747 jet and travelled at 570miles per hour making the crossing to Can- ada in seven hours, arriving here at 6:50p.m. on August 16. During their trip they were royally entertained. In Swe- den, for Home Hospitality, each boy remained with one family in their home or at their cottage for six days. At Lillehammer, Norway, the fourteenth World Jamboree was held. Fifteen thousand boys from ninety-six countries were in attendance with thirteen hundred from Canada After the Jamboree they returned to Denmark where there were five bicycle tours around one of the islands. This was a never to be forgotten vacation and should do much in promoting under- standing and world peace among the nations. On Wednesday Mr. and Mrs. R. Douglas Davison, Scott and Neil of Bridgenorth, who were enroute from a vacation with Janice's parents at Blenkeim were evening dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Davis- on. Congratulations to 'Mrs. Davison who was observing her birthday on Friday. In honor of the occasion she and her husband were feted by their family to evening dinner at Pratt's Marina, on Che- mong Lake.
