Rev. Deer, with a touch of humor, related briefly the early rise and trip whjch was enjoyable in spite of weather and then he reminiscingly told of a former visit to our church several years ago, in the month of May, when he was, at that time, Kedron's pastor. He also expressed his appreciation of the hearty welcome extended to him and complimented the worshippers on the beautiful changes in the Sanctuary. He was pleased also to see the familiar face of Mr. Frank Lee of Kedron in the congre- gation, here as a guest of his niece and nephew Diane and Allan Werry. His Children's Story was about a man who had three excuses for not attending church but Rev. Deer hoped his listeners shared his reas- ons for wishing to go to church. Rev. Deer's sermon was based on Paul's letter to the Corinthians on "love" also the man who was really the neighbor in the familiar Good Samarîtan story. He explain- ed how fear cou.d have caused the apathetic attitudes of the priest and Levite but for us, ail day, everywhere we can find love-needing people, to whom the important and right words, inspired by love, told by us and backed up by acts to supply physical and spiritual needs. An excellent lesson to all to love god and our neighbors and share.
