Others had stories, r ageants, verses. Rev. Bart- ett had the story. The ebjîdren took up their gifts to the tree others gave the tbank you for our white gift service. The choir sang a couple of times.. Last Monday night 27 of the explorer g roup that meet every Monday after sehool at North Hope Sehool with leaders, visited Port Hope hospital and sang carols f or the patients and staff. Miss J. MacGillis, and Mrs. Phaunl assisted, the group. Mrs. Bartlett was also bielping.. LastSunaytheQuantrills and had' Mr. and Mrs. Quantrili. , On Tuesdhy the U.C.Xy. unit Il held their meeting at Mr. and Mrs. Ross Beatty 's home, The president, Mrs. Ken Trew presided aithougli she had expected to be away but the storm kept bier home so she attended the meeting. Mrs.. H. White had the devotionai and also continued with our Mis- sionary subjects and we decided to aid the fund to help better hospitais and the fund for world assistants to Mis- sionaries. A financiai report was given b y Mrs. H. Quan- triil. Some ladies ieft eariy due to the storm but most of tbem stayed for lunch., On Wednesday our general meeting of the U.C.W. met at Garden Hill. Mrs. Wbeeier opened the meeting and severai unit leaders beiped. Reports vwere given and we p Ian to give $500 to the tewards and $200 toward the M.M. givings. An excellent dinner was served after the meetin g. The library opened as the tables were being cieared away. Severai ladies went on to Bewediey Senior Citizens gathering. Mi.-ss Doris and Diane Beatty,\ Toronto were home on the w eekend. They visited the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. B. Burton at Peterborough bospi- tai on Saturday. Mrs. Burton is in Port Hope hospitai where the baby boy was born iast week. Mr. and Mrs. R. Westbeuser and girls spent the weekend witb Mr. and Mrs. H. Staats, Brantford. Mr. E.
