The Seniors played in a Sat. Basketball Tournament before Christmas and split two games. BHS defeated Wood- bridge 52-45 but lost to Stayner 52-47. In other games. the Seniors defeated Anderson 75-44, Ux- bridge 51-31 and Port Hlope 56-39. The Senior Redmhen's record now stands at 8 wins and 2 losses. The Juniors are also doing well. The whole team put out a good offensiv7e effort to defeat , Anderson 63-53. In other games, BHS defeated Done- van Collegiate 49-44 and Ux- bridge 59-32. The last game of the first haif, was played in Uxbridge December >14 wîth Bowmanville winning the contest 3-2. The score waàs blank, after two periods of play due to excellent izoal tendine from Bowmanville's Dan Reefke and Brook Cole and Ux- bridge's Larry Corner and Darrel Homne. Uxbridge opened the score with 7.41 remaâining in the third period on a power play goal. Bowmanville scored a minute later with a goal fromR Chuck Welsh, the assist was earned by Gary Eeuweý. Uxbridge took the lead again with 5 minutes remaining in the game. With approximately ,1 minute remaining, Bow- manville pulled its goalie. The move paid off with an unas- sisled goal from Paul Des- roches.
