The house band of Fay Adtams and The Country Hits started the show with their ever popular theme song "Steel Guitar Rag". mFa y and Glory Adams did a medi ey ranging from old tunes by Hank Wlliams to the newtunesby-Joyce-Semrone, The first guest artist en the show,,was Verna MeIMahoni from the Courtice area. Verna did an excellent job on her list of songs including the ever popular "Storms Neyer Last. " Mary Bunting of Orono - the Sheiburne Fiddle contestant from past years, did some fancy toe-tapping tunes - ranging from waltzes, jigs and reels, where the crowd joy- fully clapped their hands and tapped their heels, in keeping time to the fiddle. Due to a serious lllness in the Clingman family, Mel and Melanie Clingman were un- able to appear on the 'show. Filling in for them was Larry Adams from Orono and Bon- nie George from Roseneath. Larry Adams was well received during his perfor- mance especially when hie sang a song "Grandma's -Feather Bed' and the every popular Hank Snow tune "I've Been Everywhere". Hank Snow himself couldn't have done it any better, A return appearance this year by Bonamne George of Roseneath was well received by the crowd. Bonnie did some ballad type songs such as B.J. The D.J. and Cia yton Delaney. She also sang the song for the "Quiet lTime" entitled "Mar- ried By tlhe Bible". Also of the back up group Len Somerscales on steel ani Jow Howe from Brooklin on' lead, teamed up to entertain- the crowd with some fancy guitar picking. Glory Adams rounded up the Sunday afternoon show by singing ahand clapping song called "Put Your Hand In The Hand".
