There wilh be 40 teams campeting this year, consist- ing of 8 in each division from Novice, Atom, Peewçe, Ban- tam and Mîdget. The tournament is being sponsored by the Bowmanville Minor Hockey Association and the hast teams will be the second or "B" Division teams formerly known as the "Select Teams" from the Bowman- ville Recreation Minor Hockey Organîzation. At a meeting on Wednesday night ast, Tournament Chair- man Rahph Ormiston and Registration Chairman Frank Leach conferred with coaches and managers ta work out final details. The Novice and Atom play- downs will be held on March 25th and the Bantam and Midget on Friday, March 26th. Due ta ice allotment, the Peewees will play on bath days. The Championship and Con- solation finals will be played on Saturday, March 27th. Games will start in each arena, urnameabnt at8:00 a.m.daily The winners of the Champ- ionship and Consolation games in each division will receive a team trophy, as well as individual trophies for each player on the team. Every player who partici- pates in the týournament will receive a pennant as a memento of the tournament, compliments of the Bowman- ville Minor Hockey Mothers. To organize a tournament of this size takes time, and is usually left ta' a few who deserve to be commended for giving frËely of their time and asking nothing in return except your presence at any games you are free ta attend. In the past this tournament has been noted for the good sportsmanship displayed both on and off the ice, and we anticipate the same spirit to characterize this year's tour- nament. As the Bowmanville teams are the host teams, s0 we as a community become the host town also.
