Sales Tax Credits Any person 16 years or older may file for this dlaim unless he or she is claimed as a dependant by somebody else. Where a person has no taxable income and does not dlaim a child as a dependant, it may be advantageous to have the child (if he is 16 or over) file for bis own credif. Pensioner Tax Credit This credit applies to any person who is 65 years of age or older, or to a married couple one of whom is 65 or over. If both are 65 or over and both have income, only the one with the higher taxable in- come may dlaim the credit. In the case of a death durîng the year, both husband'and wife may dlaim the full credit if both were 65 or over during the year. Political Contribution Tax Credit This is the only credit which requires that receipts be turned in with thereturn. Il applies only to contributions made to Ontari6 parties.
