The town's finance commit- tee voted Monday, January 24th to enter negotiations with the Northumberland and New- castle Board of Education on the subject of purchasing the school. The negotiations are aimed at securing the, building, as a museum site. Mayor Rickard Counillor WoodYard, Town Clerk Joe Mllroy and a member of the museum board will bargain for the school and return with a report to council according to a recommendation by the finance committee.
