10 The Canadian Statesmati, Bowmanville, September 13, 1978 S(-ctiî OBITUARIES LILLIAN ELIZABETH MARGARET DILLING A well-known and highly rseted citizen of the area, LlanElizabeth Margaret Dilling, died suddenly on Sunday, September 3rd, 1978 in Memorial Hospial, Bow- manville. Born in Markbam, educated at Blackstock and Enniskillen, and taking a business course in Toronto, she was the daughter of William and Catherine Wallace. On July lSth, 1929 she was married to Forest Arthur Dilling. A resident of Bowmanville for 52 years, she had previously resided in Black- stock, and Enniskillen, and was employed by Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co., and by Sheil Oul Company, Toronto, asa comptometer operator. A devoted wife and mother, Mrs. Dilling also took an active part in the church and the community. She was a member of St. John's Anglican Cburch, a member of the choir for 40 years, Vestry Clerk for over 25 years, a member of the Women's Auxiliary, a member of the Anglican Young People's Association, and a member of the Bowmanville Professional Women's Club. Lef t to mourn ber passing are ber husband Forest, three children Wallace, Gary and Catherine (Mrs. John Ford), nine grandchildren, a sister Mary (Brash) two brothers, William and Gary 'Wallace, four grandsons and two nephews. Arcbdeacon Thomas Gracie officiated at the funeral services held on Wednesday at St. John's Anglican' Church, with the cburch choir providing funeral music. Prior to the service, Mrs. Dilling rested at the Morris Funeral Chapel. 1Paîl-bearers were four grandsons William, John, Douglas and Dwigbt Dilling, .and two nephews, Robert Allin and Robert Burns. Among the many beautiful floral tokens received in ber memory were offerings fromn the Goodyear Recreation Club, West Beach Club, Bowmanville Professional Women's Club, Goodwill Fund at Memorial Hospital, St. Josep's and St. Stephen's staff, donations were made to the Ontario Heart Foundation, the Canadian Diabetic Assoc., the Canadian Cancer Society, and Saint John's Cburch. Interment Bowmanville Cemetery. HELEIN MARGEURITE DUSTAN 111 for six weeks, H'elen, Miargeurite Dustan, aged 86, passed away on Sunday, August 6th, 1978 in Oshawa General Hospital. Daughter of Anthony and Loretta Mitchell, she was born in Bowmanville and educated in Bowmanville, Westhourne Ladies College, and the Royal Conserva tory of Music, Toronto. On September 22nd, 1917, she was married to Thomas A. Dustan. Loved by a&U who knew ber she was a devoted wife and niother. A resident of Bowmanville from 1891-1978, she was a member of St. John's Anglican Churcb. Surviving are Thomas M., Terrance G., Helen P., William H., Margaret K., 13 grandcbildren and one great granddaughter. Mrs. Dustan rested at the Morris Funeral Chapel until services conducted on Wednesday by Archdeacon Thomas Gracie in St. John's Anglican Churcb with the lessons read by Thomas M. Dustan. Paîl-bearers were ber grandsons, Robert, John and James Dustan, Ian, Donald Edward Enel, botb of Winnipeg.
