Annual Rebekah Penny Sal 'e Produces Many Winners The annual Beehive Rebekah Lodge Penny Sale was, held in the Centennial Hall on Friday, Sept. 22 and was again a great success. The hall was decorated with bouquets of faîl flowers from the garden of Mr. Cliff Samis. The sale was officially opened by the District Deputy President Sis. Margery Wanamaker from Port Perry, who welcomed everyone and_ wished the lodge success. Convenor was Noble Grand Sis. Essie Cox and co-hostess was Vice- Grand Sis. Shirley Severn. Sisters Ruby Hutchin- son and Pauline Aldread were in charge of the tea tables and the waitresses were Sisters Mary Vinkle, Carol Roberts, Ruth Mitchell, Beryl Roche, Daisy Paeden, Joyce Chant, Karen Michelson, Kay Bryson, Edna Goheen, Marge Highfield, Aura Trewin, Dora Moore, Glad Rahme. Sisters Leona Farrow, Ede Moore, Bessie Shackleton Mabel Wade, Elleen Large and Mazo Archer looked after the Variety table and the kitchen was capably managed by sisters Ann Engllsh, Leah Hendren, Mabel Fowler, Charlotte Byers and Glad Rahme. Sister 1 Jean Youngman was in charge of the hourly draw and the winners Mrs. Hi Ormiston, Mrs. - Ann Piper, Kevin Farrow, Rosalie Polley, Fred Draper and Dawn Foster had their winning numbers drawn by sisters Jean Symons, Leona Farrow, Elva Leach, Dora Moore and Mayor Garnet Rickard. Sisters Edna Kerr and Elva Leach were in charge of al tickets and money assisted by Sis. Ruby Hutchinson and Dora' Moore. Mr. Lorne McQuarrie very kindly allowed the use of the window of Cliffcrest Cleaners to display the prizes the week before the sale and Sis. Eileen Large arranged the schedule of the following sisters to seli tickets there. Helping with the draw were sisters, Velma Gay, Jean Youngman, and -Pauline Aldread. Sisters Daisy Paeden and Ruby Hutchinson made out the list of winners and the unclaimed prizes and there will be a list of these in the window of. Cliffcrest Cleaners.
