Many from Pontypool attended the Lake Scugog Softball League dinner and dance held in the Immaculate Conception Church hall in Port Perry on Saturday night. A good crowd was present at the Chamber of Commerce 's first dance of the season. Musicwas supplied by Larry Adams and Midnight Country. Two of Larry's regulars, Terry Curtis and Earl Bowman of Roseneath, were with the band but filling in for three absentees, were Lana Malcolm, Bethany, Donny Adams and Tim Toye -of Orono. Bill Woodward of Newtonville and Glory and Fay Adams of Orono also entertained with a few numbers. 1Alvin Olan spent last week in Princess Margaret Hospital, Toronto. He was homefor the weekend but is being re-admitted on Tuesday. Mrs. Dave Strong is a patient in Civic Hospital, Peterborough. We hope Margaret is soon well enough to be home. Mrs. June Bull returned home on Thursday after a stay in hospital with heart trouble. High bowlers in the Ladies Bowling League on Monday were Gertie Clark 223 and Hilda Cochrane, 216.
