Rev. and Mrs. Edwin Kemp- ling, Regina, were overnight guests of Rev. and Mrs. Harold Kempling. Late Sat. afternoon, Bert Werry lost one of his beautiful barns on his Omemee farm. The cause - children playing with matches. Several from the area attended the Hampton Church Carol Service on Sunday evening with the 3 point Church choirs taking part, where we met the visiting ministers from the United Church of Korea. Rev. Kemp- ling of Enniskillen showed the two ministers our rural area farming etc. on Tuesday by taking them to different farms and also visiting the saw mill at Tyrone. Last Friday the Ministers of Presbytery and their wives met at the manse for their regular monthly Pot Luck Supper this being Rev. and Mrs. Kempling's turn to entertain them, A gorgeous pre-winter Sun- day morning enticed sixty folks to attend the morning worship service. A combined choir of Seniors and Intermed- iates sang as their choir number "Spirit' of God", with leader Ulali Chambers at the organ. The Children's Story was entitled "Paula's En- emy" and the enemy was, a neighboring lad who changed from enemy to friend due to Paula's attitude and acts. In our Minister's Sermon with the topic "Naughty: Naugh- ty" he explained clearly with references.,to the Bible Read- ings that God lias no favorites but does judge us by our deeds.. This week's event was: Sunday - Enniskillen Youth Group met very briefly after Church to settle sûme urgent business. Events to Come: Saturday, Dec. 2nd - 6 p.m. Enniskillen Beaver and Cub Group Christ- mas Party will be held in Hampton Community Hall. In Keeping with Remembrance Day, she open- ed the meeting with the poem "Why I Wear A Poppy". Mrs. Allan Werry gave the Devo- tional "The Riglit Kind of Remembrance" reading Ec- clesiasties III verses 1 - 8. She closed with a different poem "Why I Wear A Poppy"l and "In Flanders Fields". A note of appreciation fromn the Sharp Family was read and Get Well cards signed for the sick and Sympathy cards for the bereaved. Mrs. Raîpli Virtue reported over $100 was collected in the Unicef boxes at Hallowe'en. The ladies were reminded from the Dept. of Agriculture suggesting oui' group register so as to be notified of any courses. In view of several vacancies on executive for next year, vol- unteers w 'ere called for and Most offices were filled. Mrs. Harvey McGill and Mrs. Clarence Stainton are the committee to arrange for our Christmas Dinner Meeting to be held at noon, Mon., Dec. 4th. Each lady is to bring a gift for a patient in the Ontario Hospital, Whitby and Christ- mas goodies to be used for boxes for our shut-ins, to be packed by Mrs. R. Virtue, and Mrs. W. Bowman. A gift of money was voted for the Oshawa Men's Hostel. The Executive will meet at Mrs. R. Howes' Wednesday afternoon. NJov. 29th to do the annual report. Mrs. R. Howe gave a reading "Hands". One of the humorous highlights of our year was the hilarious mono- logue "Bessie's Boil", most expertly enacted by Mrs. M.J. Fraser. Stewardship readings vere given by Mrs. M. Pollard, Mrs. 1.
