The souvenirs and sound tapes were enjoyed by ail. On Wednesday, February i 7th, we ail went to Liberty Bowl in Bowmanville. The winners were as follows: lane one - Kyle Smart 205 points, lane two Tim Van Leeuwen 185 points, lane three Gary Luis- ser 201 points, lane four Gregory Burke 195 points, lane five Jonathan Boyd 182 points. Nice going. Many thanks to ail the mothers who came out on February 12 and 19 to help with the crafts. Ail boys made a potholder out of wood and small tules, and a rocking chair out of clothes pins. Congratulations to ail, a job well done. On Saturday February 24th, we had our Parents and Son banquet. Akela introduced the head table, ail Cubs introduc- ed their parents. After open- ing ceremonies, Rev. Burns said grace before meal and we ail enjoyed an excellent supper put on by the U.C.W. group. To show our apprecia- tion Akela thanked ail the ladies for the wonderful sup- per and the boys gave each lady a potholder they had made. The birdhouses were judged by Mr. Davey, chairman, Mrs. Dakin, treasurer and, Mrs. Quinney, secretary from Group committee. Keith Gai- lagher took first place and picked the T-shirt, Cubs, Scouts, second place went to Biliy Walmsiey, he picked the jungle story book.
