Maple Grove W,',1 The March meeting of the W.I. was held in the C.E. Hall on the 12th at 8 p.m. with Mrs. A. Vandergaast, President in charge. Meeting opened with the singing of the Ode and repeating the Lord's Prayer in umison. 1The Roll Cail 'Naine a person in the news and tel why his or hier naine appears there' showed the ladies were very aware of the latest naines in the press and especially one of our local young men. Maple Grove W.I. will host the District Annual on May 9th. Mrs. A. Vandergaast, Mrs. H. Prescott, Mrs. G. Moffatt and Mrs. W. Brown wil be in charge of meal tickets and registration. Mrs. S. Jeffery and Mrs. G. Greenhamwill be in charge of table favours. Mrs. W. Brown, Mrs. Win. Polak anid Mrs. E. Burke will pland the lunch to be served. Mrs. H. Cryderman gave the Good Neighbours report., Mrs. Win. Polak, convenor of World Aff airs was in charge of the following program. Mrs. G. Besse, commented on the Motto 'Peace will corne when the power of love is reater than the love of Power". She said at the present, the world is in a turmoil - China invaded Viet Nam, Russia issues warnings and women of Iran protesting over power of one man. 1Wecan see and sing 'He has the whole world in his hands'. Peace will corne where we are if we let God corne into our lives, We need to show love, peace and consideration first in our homes, our communities and out into the .world. Let us be especially céonsiderate of our tourists showing them kindness and understanding." -Mrs. A. Ewtushik favoured us with music on hier electric organ playing - Blue Moon, Danny Boy and My Wild Irish Rose. Miss Sandra Polak played the guitar and sang 'Till The Rivers Ail Run Dry", "On The Shelter of Your Eyes", "You're My Best Friend and Love Me Tonight". SMrs. A. Ewtushik ran the projector for a film on Danny Kaye with UNICEF at work in India, Burma, Thailand, China and Korea. This was very appropriate this beîng International Year of the Child. Mrs. Polak moved a vote of thanks to those on hier programn. Meeting closed with the repeating of the Collect in unson.
