Newcastle town council recently decided to put a phone booth ln Newtonville on a vacant lot at the four corners of the hamlet (the southwest corner of the Newtonville Road and Highway 2 intersec- tion).- The property is owned by the Region. Russell Westwood of Newtonville said lie is concer- ned that if the phone is in- stalled there, the lot will become a local hangout wliere youths wll "park their fancy cars with eight-track stereos, smoke tlieir funny cigarettes and drink.
