VERLIE, BENNETT ROBERTS A former employee at the Oshawa General Hosital in the housekeeping dep' tment, Mrs. Verlie BernnettRoberts, of 310 Elgin St., Oshawa, died suddenly at Oshawa General Hospital Tuesday, April 10, 1979. Legion Donates CPR'Equipment to Bowmanville Hospital The generosity of Bowmanville and area residents has made possible a recent donation to the Bowmanville Memorial Hospital. With money from their Poppy Fund, members of Branch 178 of the Royal Canadian Legion donated this life-sized plastic mannequin to the hospital. The mannequin shown here is used to teach techniques of cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and it will be used flot only for training hospital staff but also for instruction to persons taking CPR courses in the community through the Board of Education.
