FLORA MAY (FLOSS) PARSON A resident of Oshawa for 61 years, who came here from Newcastle, Mrs. Flora May (Floss) Parson of 144 Celina Street, Oshawa, died at Oshawa General Hospital, Monday, April 16,1979. The former Flora May (Floss) Bell was born June 16, 1891, at Hartley, and was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Bell. She was married August 16, 1914 at Orono. She was a member of Albert Street United Church. Mrs. Parson survived by her husband, James Parson; a son, Joseph Parson of Oshawa; a sister, Mrs. Barbara Van Dyke, of South Dakota; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Mrs. Ethel Muzik, in 1976. 1Mrs. Parson rested at the Armstrong Funeral Home, Oshawa. Service was held in the chapel on Wednesday. Interment in Mount Lawn Cemetery. Rev. Allister Macintosh officiated. Memorial donations to Albert Street United Church would be appreciated. St. John Ambulance advises that eye injuries need medical attention as soon as possible. Bandage a clean dressing over the injured eye and take the casualty to the hospital.
