CLIFFORD RICHARDSON In poor health for some time, Clifford Richardson, aged 68 years, passed away in Oshawa General Hospital, on Saturday, April 28th, 1979. Son of the late Bert Richard- son' and Ethel Thompson, he was born and educated in Pontypool. ,Mr., Richardson was an employee of General Motors of Canada for 31 vears, retiring 14 years ago. He was a member of AF. and A.M. Lodge No. 325. Surviving are two sisters Ruth (Mrs. Bruce Fisk) Pontypool, and Madeline (Mrs. usei Kerr), Bethany, Funeral services were held on Tuesday, at the Morris Funeral Chapel, with Reve- rend Winnifred Bridges offi- ciating. LESLIE ROYDEN COCHRANE The death of Leslie Royden Cochrane, occurred suddenly at his residence in Enfield, on Thursday, May loth, 1979. He was in his 68th year. Born and educated at Enfield, he was the son of the late George and Mary (Knapp) Cochrane. He was married on October 3th, 1936, to Norma Cowling. A farmer his entire life, he had resided in Enfield, Dar- lington Township, Lot 28, Concession 9, since 1941, previously residing in West Enfield where he was born. He was a member of Enfield United Church. Surviving are his wife Norma, sons, Kenneth, of Little Britain, Ralph of En- field, five grandchildren, two brothers, Russell of Enfield and- Ivan of -,Blaekstùck.- He was pre-deceased, by sixý brothers, Milton, Garnet, Walter, Lloyd, Harold and Morley and two sisters, Hazel and Verna. Funeral services were held at the Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home on Saturday, with the Reverend Kempling officiating. Palîbearers were Donald, Nelson, Glen and George Cochrane, Bruce Adams and Ronald Stephenson. Charges Laid After 3-Car Accidnt A three-car accident on Taunton Road Saturday after- noon resulted in serious injury to two people and a charge of criminal negligence laid against another. Mr. Cyril Francis, 61, an American citizen, giving an Ajax address, was charged by Durham Regional P olice in connection with a head-on collision on Taunton Road east of Courtice. According to police, Mr. Francis was eastbound in a 1978 Jeep when he crossed into to the oncoming lane of traffic and collided with a car driven by Patrick Roberts, 75, Osha- wa. A 1970 Chev. pick-up driven by John Adams, 24, R.R. 1, Bowmanvîlle swerved to miss the collision and sustained minor damage., Mr. Roberts and his wife, a passenger in the car, were taken to Oshawa General Hospital. Mr. Roberts was listed -in fair condition with head injuries and his wife in satisfactory condition with multiple injuries. Both the Roberts and Fran- cis vehicles were total write- off s.
