Letter to Éditor Dear Sir: On Saturday, May 26th, last, I had the privilege of attend- ing Graduation Exercises of the Faculty of Law at Queen's University, Kingston. My specific purpose for being there was that among the graduates receîving his Degree of Bachelor of Laws was one, John James Spiers Chalmers, an officer of the Ontario Provincial Police, formerly of the Newcastle Detachment, presently resid- ing at Kingston. John will 'be entering the office of the Solicitor-General for Ontario and Queen's Park where he will serve under Articles for one year and then will take his Bar Admission Course. John was my Court Officer in the Bowmànville Court for some time and I amn quite proud of hlm and what he has been able to accomplîsh and thought that his many friends in Bowmanville and Newcastle would be happy to heaîr of his progress. It is not every day that a young man has the courage to embark on a new career in the midst of raiîng a young family and John and his wife Helen are to be congratulated. Vours very truly, R.B.
