Mrs. F.* Compton, and Jamie, of Perth Roàd were visitors here last week with Mrs. W. Boughen, also calling to see Mrs. Mary Vinkie and Mrs. Mary Jones. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Elliott were in Toronto last week, visiting Mr. and Mrs. Herb Soules, also Mr. and Mrs. Wray Soules in Bala. Visitors the past week, with Mrs. V. Gilmer included Rev. and Mrs. R. C. White, of Oshawa, Mrs. Lena Clysdale, Mrs. Bea Jones, Mr. A. Ton, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Murphy, of Orono, Mr. Phil Gilmer and Blaine,, Mrs. Janet Paedeni, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Gilmer, of Port Hope. Mr. and Mrs. Len Palen, of Morgan's Corners were visitors iast week with Mr. and Mrs. Ken Fletcher. Elliott, B. Cryder- man. Friday supper guests with Mr. and Mrs. Phil Gilmer, and family, were Mrs. Lena Clysdale and Mrs., Violet Gilmer helping celebrate son Blaine's birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Stapleton and family, Mr. and Mrs. Brian Caswell and Jeff, were, supper guests Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Boughen, an enjoyable outside affair! Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Jones and Mrs.- V. Gilmner enjoyed an evening of bridge Saturday with Mrs. Bea Jones. Mr. and Mrs. Phil Gilmer and family accompanied. by Rosalie Facco, spent the holiday weekend at their Chemong cottage. Mary and Melville Jones were the Greeters at our church door Sunday morning when the theme of Rev. Tizzard's sermon was "To Labor For the Kingdom". Mrs. Marlene Stacey sang an enjoyable solo, "Life's Rail- way To Heaven." Sunday School will resume, here, next Sunday Sept. 9th. Mr.,and.Mrs. Bill Kimbal and Vîcki returned home last Saturday evening from their enjoyable holiday trip to Western Canada. Mr. and Mns. Fred Hender- son spent the past weekend at the Trailer Park at Lake Chemong. Mrs. Leone Lane was a supper guest Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Sid Brown, daughter Cindy and friend Chris Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Elliott visited Mr. and Mrs. Oriol Edgerton in Bowmanville Sunday and went out for supper later.
