It features six new prints by four exciting, young artists: Michael Behnan, Barbara- Claus, Jane Eccles, and George Raab. Michael Behnan, of Gore rLanding, has jiist recently returned from Ireland, and is exhibiting his new work in monoprints. Barbara Claus, a native of Toronto who now resides in Oshawa, displays hier work in lithography and etching. Jane Eccles, of Bowmanville, whose works in intaglio printmaking are appreciated for their personal imagery, is showing new etchings. Claus and Eccles participated in the "Fourteen Artists of the Durham Region" at the Robert McLaughlin Gallery, and in the "By Women" exhibition at the Margot Samuel Gallery. George Raab, of Maynooth Station, exhibits his etchings. Raab was recently awarded top prize for graphics at the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibi- tion. The four printmakers are accomplished young artists Jean was presented with a lovely corsage by Carol Laing, and the good wishes of the' neighbors were expressed by the hostess of the evening., The packages were un- wrapped by the bri de, assisted by Sharon Turner and Jamie McDonald. Ribbon decora- tions were arranged on a straw hat which the bride modelled as she thanked everyone for their kindness and good wishes. After an amusing contest, an attractive lunch was serv- ed by the committee assisted by Sally Barrie, Wendy Shantz, Darlene Wight and Carol Laing. 'fFitness. it gives much more than it takes.
